New airbox for the VQ35 Individual Throttle Body kit was released this weekend at PRI Performance Racing show in Orlando, FL. Final tweaking is still required to ensure a proper fit under the 350Z and G35 hood, but here is the closest thing they have to production. A few photos from Jenvey's ITB booth at the show:

Haltech's new 'ECU Manager' software, first seen on the Platinum 350Z ems, is setting the bar for standalone tuning. This incredible software coupled with updated hardware (including USB connectivity and dual CAN processors) made way for the new Platinum line of Haltech ECUs. The Platinum Sport 1000 and Platinum Sport 2000 are complete and will be first to market, available in early 2009. Ultimately the E8 and E11 will be phased out as the Sport 1000 and 2000 do everything and more for the same cost. Following those will be the Platinum Pro with additional features like quad cam control and true dual drive by wire control.

Earlier this week we received a few carbon fiber accessory pieces for those looking to add a few finishing details to their new GTR. The Mines carbon fiber seems to have an excellent weave and mold quality. It is always worth paying a premium for body pieces that fit and look properly. With the launch of our R35 GTR specific shopping site GTRMOD.COM, we are currently testing and installing parts on the Injected Performance/GTRMOD.COM GTR. Just recently we installed the
Mines Silence-VS Pro Titan II Cat Back Exhaust, which was actually quieter at idle then the oem unit. Also installed on the GTR are a set of Volk TE37 size: 20x9.5 +25 and 20x10.5 +25 wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport 600 DSST (front: 255/40ZR20, rear:285/35ZR20) and OEM paint matched (Obsidian Black) side skirts, front and rear lips.

COBB Tuning Coilover Sleeve Kit: R35 GTR showed up this morning and are in stock at
Injected Performance. COBB is currently out of stock and will not have anymore of these kits for another 6 months. The benefits to the COBB Tuning Sleeve Kit are the retaining your stock struts + helper springs = a much more comfortable daily driven ride and most importantly (atleast to me) the ability to lower the GTR. Suspension movement has also been
enhanced by replacing the stock rubber bushings with teflon-lined FK spherical-bearing top mounts that allow for fullarticulation of the suspension while maintaining linear spring movement.
Also in stock at the moment are the
R35 GTR AccessPORT units.

Jenvey ITBs for 350z / G35
We appreciate Paul (Ivory) bringing his car to us from NY for a 4.15L NA stroker with one of the first ITB setups. As I write this we are delivering the car back to him.
The build consisted of an
Injected/ BC 4.15L street-compression stroker with stock heads and
BC 272 Cams,
BC Valves,
BC Springs - all held together by
L19 Head Studs and an
IP billet main girdle. We did a quick
Haltech Platinum tune in order to get the car back to the customer in time for body modifications before an event coming up. There is still more power to unlock especially in the heads, which we hope to do after the customer has enjoyed his car for a bit. The very limited time I drove the car, it was a blast!
We have built a number of these stroker VQs from 300-1300HP and this one went together flawless as usual. Of course working on NA cars is a breath of fresh air compared to the normal FI setup with pipes, lines, and turbos everywhere. The individual throttle bodies perform well and delivered worthwhile gains all the way through and make all the difference in high-end power. The peak hp increased 26whp, but at 7500rpm gains of 50+whp were unlocked over the stock plenum with spacer. Combined with a
Haltech Platinum, the sysem idles well and throttle response is awesome. The core
Jenvey ITB pieces are quality, but serious time needs to be spent finalizing it before they can ship it as a "kit". Many issues had to be overcome for installation such as fuel rails, throttle cable, valve cover swap and more.
The dynos below are pure DynoDynamics numbers, not Dynojet or fairy-tale numbers like we have seen in the past. The comparison dyno explains that well, look at the gains! 19% increase in displacement and 39% increase in power over stock!
